I belong
Not because you told me so
I belong because I AM

I fit in
Not because I look like you
Not because you tollerate me
I fit in because IAM

I don't need permission
I don't need approval
I flourish because I AM

I thrive because I AM

And that is all you need to know about me

So inspirational

who am I as I am?
I am is what I am
but you don’t know I am
who I seem is not all there is
there is more to know...

To be or not to be. :)

I find what you wrote a besuty expression of your willpower.

Do it somehow matches to your feelings? Curious about if my understanding of your feelings was correct.

:)

I find what you wrote a besuty expression of your willpower. It reminds me this draw I did when I was 17 years old.

It isn't about will power, might, or force

It is a poem to say that everyone is perfect just as they are. You are perfect just because you exist.

Oh!

I cannot agree on that because if everyone is perfect then the word perffection would loss its meaning to me.

But its a beautifull way to see things. :)

"Perfection" isn't absolute.

Think of it this way, if you wear a size 10 shoe your feet are perfect for YOU
But my size 5 shoes are perfect for ME. See? Each of us can be different, but still perfect.

The way you understand perffection is perfect for you. :):innocent:;)

Wish I could understand adjectives as I like poetry but alas not at present I still have enough English poetry books which were my mothers I'm very autistic picture communicator so I've got to stop buying non picture books as they're really like dead relatives in a bookcase graveyard cared for as best as I can

Very cool, @Suzette. Thank you for sharing it. I like it very much because to me it emphasizes the beauty and importance of the individual (ie every individual). Every individual is unique, special and as a one of a kind..."perfect" in their own way. It's also a bold poem/statement in another sense; I don't know if you were aware of it when you wrote it, but "I AM" is how God refers God's self in the Old Testament.

@Magna, I have not read the bible but I appreciate the comparison.

Decartes said "I think, therefore I am" and I have always thought that he was refering to self awareness being the begining of being puposeful in ones life.

Interestingly God is sometimes called the great IAM maybe to referring existence outside of time in the old covenant God is said to see a day as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day ,alluding to a different form of perception .
