I think first thing first, I'm biddi. Not very comfortable even in real life, with my actual name so this can be confusing. I think second.. I was diagnosed when I was 12-13 officially but never really thought to join a forum or connect with others in a similar boat. I do have other things that can be said to go hand in hand with my diagnosis but !

If you want to chat, I'm always open to that. Though easily confused by emoticons and slang words aha, wee bit easily confused. But hey, I'm biddi nice to be here!

I'm new too. My name is Neri. I'm on another forum (a ptsd forum) that encourages use of an anonymous user name, and I got confused and applied the same rules here. Now I feel weird about my user name, but don't know how to change it.
Anyway, I sound weird. I'm very self conscious about sounding weird. I guess it might go with the territory.
Emoticons are perplexing for me too, unless it's straightforward happy or sad.
Nice to "meet" you Biddi. :)

Thank you Isadoorian. I'm not sure if I want to change it or not, yet, or if I just want to tell people my name is Neri, if they even are interested or it matters to other's.

I kind of like "Nauti" coz it's a mixture of my actual name and autistic and a funny pun of "naughty". My mother used to tell me, I was a "difficult child" and still criticises me saying I'm stubborn. She doesn't know I'm on the spectrum though. I'm not in contact with her at the moment. She's one of the many humans that I just can't handle being around.

Thanks for your help though! I'll wait and see if this name works or if I can or can't handle it.

Sounds like you've come to the right place :) Don't sweat about your screen name - some people use their real world name, others don't. Each to their own. What matters most is that people here are open and accepting of differences 'cos most of us have plenty of them in common.
