An old friend and his new classic truck

At a small cruise night tonight that I regularly frequent, and a classic truck I haven't seen before pulled up... It turned out to be an old friend of mine from over 25 years, someone I interact with occasionally when I bump into him

Talking with him he got the truck from his father, I had ridden my vintage bicycle there tonight (1950), my comment often is that it's the classic I can afford... Bryan said he could never afford a truck like that unless it was through family... Alas I won't be getting any classic cars through any family members :emojiconfused: And "the thought" briefly entered my mind, instead I just have to be happy for Bryan, and that's that

All I got from my dad was a bunch of interesting slide photos from the late 1950's, and they are interesting... But far less valuable than a classic pickup...

Both vehicles are great, but you are probably better off in the long run with the bicycle. Easier to maintain and dead quiet to use, no taxes, already paid for: real freedom on wheels.

Love the second one. Look at the grill, the bumper, the raised front hood. Piece of artwork. Wow. Flabbergasted. The little headlights just emphasize the grill.
