Ambergris and Early Arab civilisations named it anbar and used it as incense, an aphrodisiac and medicine to cure many ailments, including those of the brain, heart and senses.
So what exactly is ambergris?

A renewed interest in Alaska shows health benefit of kino diet for epilepsy, it was originally where Eskimos eat a low carb diet , high in whale fat. This diet is used when all other meds fail and it suggested to benefit those with asd and epilepsy

Interestingly about
The reason whale meat is so dark is that it's filled with myoglobin that is capable of holding oxygen. But when the myoglobin is newly made, it does not yet contain heme.
This was a discovery that lack of oxygen to frontal cortex has role in seizures.

This is an insight into research for this diet, and history of where it came from. Pls feel free to submit your interesting facts

"ambergris, a solid waxy substance originating in the intestine of the sperm whale (Physeter catodon)."

"It is not known exactly how ambergris is formed or whether the process is normal or pathological, nor has ambergris been found in the sperm whale’s closest relatives, the pygmy and dwarf sperm whales (Kogia breviceps and K. simus).

Chemically, ambergris contains alkaloids, acids, and a specific compound called ambreine, which is similar to cholesterol."

I think you may be thinking of the Keto (Ketogenic) diet, which has in one form or another been used as part of treatment regimes for epilepsy for over 100 years - though I'm sure the people of Alaska will be delighted to know that there's renewed interest in them.
