And All Signs Point to This: "Hi, I'm Reese and I'm Aspie"

Hello.

I found this forum after googling, "I love sitting on the floor". It is true, I am currently situated in a 2 and 1/2 foot wide comfy zone that I call "My Office" between the wall and the bed. I simply wanted to see if other adults enjoyed sitting on the floor as much as I do and as usual, I was led to an aspie-related website.
My best friend of over 10 years suspects I have it, my mother very much thinks it's possible,
and my fiance is 100% convinced that I have it.
Until I somehow get to a doctor and they wave an official document in my face that says I have it, I am going to remain unsure. Even if all signs point to "DUH Reese. You are soooo an ASPIE."
Anyhoo, let me better introduce myself:
  • My name is Sherese but I go by Reese.
  • I am 30 years old somehow and just recently got engaged. :) We met on Youtube of all places.
  • I am very skilled in music. I compose my own and I play several instruments since I play by ear.
  • I am a chef and I keep getting raises and I know I'm good at it however I still feel like I don't know what's going on with the restaurant lol.
  • I LOVE cleaning but I get so discouraged when my roommate and fiance do little to nothing to help keep it up.
  • I LOVE CATS OMG THEY ARE THE BEST. I have two of them.
  • I recently (finally) gave up alcohol and nicotine.
Alcohol makes me manic, hyper, feel invincible, overly emotional and makes me feel like death the next two days where as my vaporizer constantly having to be in my firm grasp was an obnoxious not to mention expensive habit. So gooooood riddance to both.

I'm gonna try to remember to visit these forums and maybe get to know a few people. Til then I have to go to work soon. If anything it was good to get this out.

Thank you and take care!

When I was a kid I loved making a small space in an big empty box. It was usually my space ship with bug-eyed-man (and woman!) eating monsters just outside. But I gave up the practice.
Dogs are the best. ;p I have 4 of them.

Welcome Reese. You sound like a pretty cool guy, and congrats on kicking your bad habbits.

I wasn't aware that sitting on the floor was an aspie thing, but I guess that general unconventional behaviour comes with theritory. Still, I don't think it's really an indicator. What is it that other poeple notice in you that makes them think you are on the spectrum?
