Any one else prefer hot weather?

Today the heat index is going to be in the hundreds, and although I will be traveling dusty backroads in my jeep that I have yet to repair the ac on; like every other day, I still prefer this to running the heat on sub zero days. The other mail carriers and my wife think I'm crazy. How do you feel?

No. My temperature preference is in the 60's to 70's in the day to 50's at night. Hot flashes make hot weather unbearable. Then there is the humidity to contend with which makes the heat worse. We generally don't have dry heat in NYS.

We live on our boat in Mexico. From July to October 90-100° f with 95% humidity is ghe norm. We do not have a/c on our boat. We sleep naked on towels to abosrb the sweat. We carry around sweat rags snd joke that we "self shower".

This year I am in the mountains of Colorado. In August our over night low has been 36-45°f and I am freezing my buns off. This is Sonoran winter weather. But there is a plus side, I could use the oven to make cinnamin rolls.

Too much snow sucks and negative temperatures suck, as does sweating so much you distintegrate toilet paper. I just adapt.

I know that due to our condition a lot of us are intolerant of extreme temperatures. I was just wondering how others felt. Great discussion so far!

Love dry heat and generally all kinds of heat, will stand against radiators for hours. However humidity drives me nuts I can feel the air is 'thick'.

Get through Winter consistently wearing at least 3 jumpers.

My own fault for living in the Northern hemisphere about 5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean!

I've never been very heat tolerant. It's partially my body type which is dense/heavy. Have gotten heat exhaustion on occasion either on job (military) or doing sports on hot days. Definately became more pronounced with age.

So although I don't particularly like the cold either its apparently my body's better fit.

I prefer the heat of summer to the ravages of winter.

In the winter, I see destruction of my property, vehicles and the high price of heating.

Park the streetmachines, cover the bikes, hide the ATVs away and sit in the house.
In the spring I try to fix what I can and begin to prepare for the winter all over again.

At least I have my woodshop, hobby area and machineshop to play in.
Those are all inside of my domicile :p

Yes, the ideal temperature for me would be 70 degrees, but I would rather sweat a little or retreat to the AC a bit than bundle up to stay warm.

I'm near the start of menopause don't like humidity one bit but the winter is also terrible as the hot flushes from having layers on me are soul destroying and then being icy cold scream

All my life I have enjoyed hot weather, always looking forward to summer.

But after this record-breaking hot summer with ugly implications all across the globe, I find myself and others all in agreement towards looking forward to more temperate weather.

Extreme, prolonged heat and so much smoke from multiple large-scale forest fires have pretty much ruined this summer. We may be looking at smoke in the air all the way to December. :(

I thrive in temps of 45-65. Anything warmer and I start to wilt.

I grew up in an area where summer temperatures were regularly over 100 degrees.

But I've lived almost my entire adult life in a place where it rains nine months out of the year, and even that's too hot and dry for me, because the summers are so hot, dry, and humid. I'd like to get further north and west, closer to the coast. On the other side of the mountain rain shadow.

I like fog and drizzle, warm sweaters, and froofy lattes.

I do not like extreme cold though, and I hate/fear ice storms.

I always joke that when the weather is really hot I can't feel hot flashes.:D

For me personally, I love it hot.
I'm unhappy about the damage extreme heat is causing many people, animals and the planet.
However, I don't think I have ever experienced "too hot" for me. I go out for my walk/run between 3 and 4pm each day when the temps are in the hundreds. Even with high humidity, it is comfortable for me and has the added bonus of reducing the number of people out. Makes my outings so much more peaceful. (I am not sweatphobic.)
I keep the thermostat here in my little haven set to 90F. Very comfy! Anything under 80F feel cool to me. Anything under 70F feels cold.
You can call me weird, everyone else does. But, I'm ok with weird.

I can't stand really hot weather especially if there's significant humidity. I'm quite active outside with work around the homestead as required which can involve heavy physical labor. Trying to do that when it's 95 degrees out and 90% humidity is horrible and even dangerous.

My ideal outdoor temperature range is 45-65 degrees Fahrenheit (7-18 degrees Celsius).

Did it until the age of 11. As 11 yo became more sensitive to heat and for the last few years I even sometimes start feeling sick because of heat. But, I think cancer treatment is mostly responsible for this.

OMG I get so sick in the heat, like I'm going to faint. It gets hard to breathe and I get dizzy. I went thru cancer treatment too.

I hate it. I've been finding it hard to sleep in my own bedroom this summer, even with the fan on and the windows open. Of course, the humidity makes it even more unbearable, you just cannot breathe in there. I can't even go for a short walk when it's above 15 degrees C without getting repulsively sweaty. I'm hoping next summer I'll be able to get an air conditioner for my bedroom. Wish it could be this summer, though.

I prefer cold, can't stand the heat. Sleep better and function better in cold weather, rain and cold bonus.
This can also be because of where I reside, the summer temperatures can range from around 35°C (95°F) to 45°C (113°F) with a 98% humidity. We have had temperatures before of around 52°C (125.6°F)
It's not nice, very uncomfortable
