Anyone else finished reading "Go Set a Watchman"?

This is a copy of a post I made to my Labrador Retriever group because they allow off topic discussions. Just to he honest.

Anyone else finish this book? I had it pre-ordered for my Kindle Fire and I just turned the last page and said, out loud, "WHAT!" The last page finished on the bottom of the page and I had no idea I had finished the book. I will have to go back and reread "To Kill a Mockingbird" because it was at least 40 years ago that I read it. I am a Northerner and thoroughly embrace the concept of full integration and treating all people equally. However, I would be a liar if I said I always reacted 100% of the time in accordance with these beliefs. I feel terrible that I know exactly HOW I should feel and act, but sometimes I have to struggle to carry out my beliefs. I do know that I am never overtly prejudiced. After the folksy introduction about how Scout had grown up and was now an adult, I was very uncomfortable to see Atticus portrayed as prejudiced. I was uncomfortable throughout the rest of the book. That is all I want to say at this time so I won't spoil anyone's reading pleasure. When someone else has actually bought the book and read it through (because I had a head start), I would love to read other opinions and reactions.

I actually looked at it at the bookstore, holding it in my hands for awhile, reading passages from it. Didn't buy the book though, I may in the future. Much of my reluctance comes from my dislike of author's descendants publishing books that the writer would not have wanted published. Do realize that the publishing company originally refused it, and that Harper Lee chose not to have it published afterward, when she could have. Don't know what her reasons may have been, they died with her.
