Anyone find themselves obsessed with this forum

Never have I found a forum that I like sooo much as this one! I mean: it is constantly active and I just love that!

I feel so at home and for the first time, really getting to know who I am and that I am not so odd lol well amongst my aspie friends hehehe

One of the things I like is that AC is not riddled with teenagers. Nothing against teenagers, but most sites I've been on with very few adults tends to be... nasty. A more balanced mix tends to bring out the better in most people who visit.

I wouldn't go as far as to say "obsessed," but I'm definitely wondering how I got along without this site in the past. It's so helpful and I'm so insanely grateful for it, seeing as how much I need it at the moment. I think this is my favorite forum, compared to the other two (music-related) ones I post on.

I have an awkward relationship with AC. This is my first attempt at reaching out to other Aspies, and being so personal with relative strangers [online or off]. At times I'm exuberant, and want to post and read threads round the clock. At other times, I will read something that upsets me, and it makes me withdraw for a while. I don't like the conflict, negativity, and passive-aggressive nonsense that happens on forums and other social media. This venue has less than any other I've seen, which makes it much more disturbing to me when it does occur. For the occasional upset, I always feel like I've got one foot in and one foot out.

I have met a good handful of people here whom I absolutely adore, and a couple of true friends I hope to keep for the long haul. That's what keeps my "in" foot planted.

Me neither, I'm grateful you've also made that observation that people don't trifle with such hassles here.

Time on AC has seriously disrupted the time I'm playing Clash of Clans. Some would see that as a good thing I'm sure :-)

You read my mind Suzanne, I couldn't put it better :)
I've tried a very few posts on other forums, but my heart is so warmed when I'm here.. so this is what it's like to feel part of a community.. virtual group hug!.. or at least, stand fairly near :D

Totally agree... again, nothing at all against teenagers, but here there are more people with a similar background to me and I feel I fit in a bit better than I do on other forums with a younger member base. I think that older adults can offer a lot by sharing their experiences with younger people, and they can also offer valuable advice such as coping mechanisms, etc.

Yes, I would say that I'm obsessed. I love to read and gather information, communicate with others. As long as I don't have to produce anything more from it, (i.e. research papers, projects, relationships) then I happily obsess away.

Thank you all for helping me out with this!

Ha ha! you really have to ask that, a person could starve to death posting on here. I would say this site is very well done, those little alert things keep sucking you right back in. :)
