Iam more into metal music than anything. I like to listen to bands such as thrash, death, heavy, and Even classical at times. I ve listen to bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Lamb of God, Cannibal Corpse, Death Angel and the list just goes on.....
What kind of metal bands have yall listen to?

Gosh you sound like my brother, he's a real punk and loves his metal, and of course, he's a drummer too :p I'm too much of a softie for that hardcore stuff, but I do like some rockier Mandopop at times. I know, Mandopop is so badass.

Metal has more of a creative value to me. I like to listen to albums thay were made in the 70s, 80s and early 90s . I don't like the newer metal bands as they sound like they are gurgling saltwater. All in all in my opinion metal is way better than some of the stuff that is out the like all the rap music that makes no sense and all anyone talks about anymore is sex and drugs. They take stuff way out of context with their music and it really bugs me.

Also I don't play any insturments.

Well, if you ever decide to learn an instrument, drums are the punkier instrument :D

I like a heaving helping of metal and variations thereof.
Iron Maiden, Cradle of Filth, Opeth, Dragonforce, Black Label Society, to name a few.
I more so like prog rock which can lean into realm of metal sometimes.

I listen to just about everything. It would be easiest to list what I don't like. Rap, Hip Hop, pop punk (or even real punk for that matter), and that god aweful auto tuned pop that is so common these days. Thats about it, I can enjoy almost literally anything else. I hate how people assume that if you like metal than that is all you listen to.

One of my coworkers listens to metal but this type of music never really interested me much. I almost always listen to oldies rock and pop from the 50's, 60's and 70's, as well as a little bit of 80's. The Beatles are my favorite band and I have all their CD's.

I like some metal, like Lamb of God. I have quite an eclectic taste in music, but mostly listen to rock and nu metal. My favourite in the world is Marilyn Manson, but also Slipknot, KoRn, Limp Bizkit. I also love classical music and J-Rock and K-Rock.

80's music rules :-), not into hardcore anything: i like
- 80's music including 80's rock music
- dance music (not hardcore techno tho)
- classical music (piano and strings)
- modern jazz (piano and jazz)
- modern lounge music
- actually also like some of the 90's stuff too

I seem to like most all kinds of music, metal, rap, jazz, and hiphop are a little down the list for me though.
I get into what shakes my soul, and has a deep meaning... I look for that stuff that is just nearly magical, the stuff that is so profound that you sit and try and understand how far inside themselves did they reach to produce something so intense, something so great.

It can be found in metal, but often there are pitches that actually hurt my ears, and the raging sounds aren't what I seek... BUT, hey every now and then a little Metallica "FUEL" isn't so bad. Actually its really cool. The video is insane... Its about drag racing, so its about one of my deepest desires...
I'm a speed junkie (not the drug!)... I thought it might be wise to clarify that...

Fast cars actually flip a switch in my head. There is just something about mechanics of massive horse power as it connects with the road... The sound of a supercharger winding out at about 5-6000 rpm, as the car jumps when it shifts to the next gear, its creates this rush that I never get tired of. I cant say its excellent for the car, but it was built to take it.

I guess no matter what type of music it is... it just has to have some meaning within it.
So yeah, it can be found in metal at times... : )

dream theater, slayer, throwdown, system of a down to name a few of my smallish list.
i love metal more than any music, but i also love classical music, anti anxiety music, gregorian monk chanting, reggae, some rap, some rock, some punk.

All the time, unfortunately, most of the metal I like is now likened to soft or classic rock. To an extent, I can understand that, but it gets old when all anyone who likes "metal" i interact with is into is screamo or death metal. Lamb of God being a "lite" choice for them, the more gurgly and inaudible the vocals and the longer you can hold one chord shred the better. I prefer stuff with more classical style rhythmic arrangements and a higher tempo like Metallica, Megadeth etc for Thrash, or Industrial like Ministry and Jerk, some Nu Metal like Mudvayne or Mushroomhead or Crossbreed, and so on. Metallica during their first four albums is still my favorite metal band and For Whom the Bell Tolls is still my favorite metal song. Also some older stuff like Black Sabbath or Prog Rock like King Crimson and the stuff that follows their style influences like Black Label Society are awesome too. Tool is kinda a category of it's own but still metal and I love them as well.

I like oldschool metal: the genesis of what is now called metal.

Sabbath, Scorpions, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Van Halen (really only the first album), et al.

I listen to metal bands. I like the old Cradle od Filth for example. I studied lostening to Black Metal, getting to sleep with Death Metal bands etc. I have problems with defining genres so I would need to check out the wiki page to see which bands are metal bands.

I enjoy diverse music from various countries so I reach out to Asian metal etc. It was a great experience to be at Indonesian metal festival.

I get where you are coming from because I listen to Disco Polo :D

OMG. You listen to Disco Polo? Why oh why? It's so stupid, I mean the lyrics.

My mum likes Disco Polo so I'm used to listening to it. I try to ignore the lyrics, the songs are just really catchy.
Some of the younger male singers are quite attractive.
