Wow, it sounds like I've been missing out on something good. I have a gallon of ACV and a huge jug of honey, so starting this week I'll try the concoction.
Like Judge, I have acid reflux. Mine is caused by a hiatal hernia. Some nights it's so bad that I wake up almost drowning from the "backwash" of stomach acid. They put me on Nexium for a while and a different doctor put me on Prilosec (the prescription-strength stuff). I was never convinced either worked and then I heard about how dangerous the stuff is, so I flushed all of it down the toilet. I found that I got better results from eating yogurt than the pills.
For me I have found two things to be of optimal benefit against acid reflux. Proper hydration, and diet. Simply put, keeping my PH values healthy with water and staying away from all the obvious foods that immediately "trigger" my reflux issues.
Though for the present, I still take OTC Nexium every four months, and on occasion Ranitidine and or Maalox.

I agree 100% about staying hydrated. If I am feeling bad for almost any reason, drinking a bottle of water helps. I used to say that I would never pay for water in a bottle, but now I do not leave the house without my little cooler with a few bottles of water. (We recycle the bottles).
Some people also like to dilute it in water and drink it as a beverage. Common dosages range from 1-2 teaspoons to 1-2 tablespoons per day.
I doubt I could keep it down without diluting it with water or something else.
Vinegar and or mustard is often used to make people and animals vomit. So keeping it down whether it's mixed with water or not has a lot to do with controlling your gag reflex, something I'm not very good at. Probably why I can't use the stuff.
I know there are many in our little community here that prefer natural remedies, so I thought I'd pick a few brains to get some thoughts on the following.
The other day I came across something on the internet about "Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey." The way the articles (I found several) read, the concoction is will cure almost anything. Some of the sites had comments by others touting it as the next best thing to penicillin and The Fountain of Youth.
Naturally, I ran out bought the ingredients to try. However, I'd like to hear from others that may have tried it or have heard about it.
Hmm, I might add a dash of cinnamon to the concoction tomorrow morning. It might give it a little pizzazz.
Supposedly the vinegar is supposed to help with a number of things, so I'm willing to give it a try. The taste isn't as bad as I had expected. I did notice the acid reflux didn't flare up today, so that made it worthwhile.
