Are you computer dumb?

I think I do have decent knowledge in computers but I've known people to consider themselves intelligent when it comes to computers and they don't even know what their OS is, so maybe I'm not gonna say I know a lot about them.
Computer's certainly isn't an obsession but I only decided that being a programmer would be a good job for me so now I'm considering learning a language...
I only know a bit of UNIX and a couple of web languages.
EMZ=]

I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to computers in both hardware and software, really...

I am computer dumb. I only got my first computer about 4 or 5 years ago at the insistence of my wife. Can use a web browser and look up and resolve most problems I have... but I'm not real good with the sort of computers you guys are talking about.

25+ years in IT, you would have thought, would have given me some clue. But I always just used my PC to crunch code into the mainframe and test programs, and there were always tech support types and other team members to help out so I didn't really need to learn anything.

dont know any code stuff but pretty much anything else i can deal with, building, repairing networks and computers, installing software, troubleshooting etc, well everything other than macs, in my view if you buy a mac you are a tool

I don`t know much about computers even tho I use it very much. I know the basics; How to turn it on/off, how to use and fix internet connection, how to handle with files and so on. Only little things. Right now at school I´m learning how to make own websites.

So, nope. I`m not a computer "dumb". I understand that as a a "nerd" by the way. Or am I wrong?

Well. Basically. Well. I get paid to fix computer problems - whether it's a hardware or software problem (usually just the Operating System and also driver issues). And I'm 15. Plus I manage the home network (nothing complicated, but it's fun - though I do want to install a Gigabit network: because it's fun). Blah.

basically. I reckon im good. But there's a LOT of stuff I want to learn but will have to pay for to do the course when im older :(

Ok, I do admit to being computer dumb, but when I was young I was very good at it it came naturally to me, I was one of the first girls I know who actually had an interest for computers and did not find it difficult, so I could learn stuff I'm sure, if I bothered. But I dropped off (doing other things)and have lost interest in learning, and find it quite tiring and even buying a new camera is an annoying process, cause at the moment it does not interest me. But perhaps one day I will build my own computer (because I would like to) and teach myself to understand the "whole" machine.

I had my first computer about 17 years ago, that slow machine cost me a fortune
