ASD Therapies (new to the forum!)

Hello, I am a new member to the forum! I joined in the hopes of learning more about personal experiences with autism spectrum disorder, specifically, parents' satisfaction of current therapy methods used by their children. If you could take the time to fill out this very short survey, it would really help me to understand more about the topic. Thank you, and happy holidays!!
ASD Therapy Satisfaction Inquiry

A little more information would be appreciated.
Rules For Research Surveys

Your survey is brief and concise, but offers none of the usual identifiers,
such as whether it's being done commercially, academically, or for purely
person reasons.

This survey is purely for personal knowledge and are not for any kind of academic or commercial use. I am just hoping to gain insight on the kinds of therapies that are used today, and how those can be changed or improved :)

What is the name of research institution that is conducting this survey? Is there a website? Also, the survey questions ask only about children. Why are adults excluded?

Hey there, I apologize I forgot to mention more information about the actual survey itself. It's actually not through any institution, just a survey I made for my own knowledge. all of it is anonymous and none of the information will be shared. I was just curious about all of this because a friend of mine is struggling to find a therapy that works for her daughter, and she feels like she is out of options.

Why don't you direct your friend here so she can ask us herself?

This survey on our children only for your own knowledge, is in fact not for your knowledge, but supposedly for someone else's child's benefit.

Sorry but this all feels creepy and something is not right, I won't be contributing.

I really don't like the wording in this post. Autistic adults exist and are able to speak for themselves. It's not just all autistic children with neurotypical parents "dealing" with their autism. It can't be lessened and is life-long.

Anyone who claims to offer therapy "for" ASD, especially "treating" it, is to be avoided. There's evidence that therapies, specifically ABA used in childhood can cause long-term emotional damage and in a lot of cases, PTSD. Your friend should think about her child's welfare and what's going on inside, not just the outside traits she has to "deal" with. A lot if not all of the time, meltdowns and non-verbal shutdowns are a result of environmental factors, she should focus on making her daughter more comfortable and happy in the world she lives in instead of trying to change her to fit it. Just my 2 cents.
