Bronx Mother Furious After Her Autistic Son, 5, Is Left Alone On Street After School
A mother is outraged after reporting that a stranger found her special needs child a mile from school – in the cold and all alone.

Late Thursday, she still was not sure how it happened. CBS2’s Hazel Sanchez went to the school to find out.
The boy, who is autistic, is at home and safe now. But he is nonverbal and had no way or communicating who he was, where he came from, or how he ended up on the bus that left him alone on the street.

Invercargill school criticised for treatment of autistic boy
A special school which repeatedly placed an upset autistic child into a tiny "safe area" has been asked to apologise following an investigation by a government watchdog.

Ombudsman Peter Boshier yesterday released his report on the use of a seclusion room at Ruru Specialist School in Invercargill, following repeated complaints from the child's parents.

He found the school acted unreasonably in using the "safe area" and the child and his family were let down by the school and the Ministry of Education.

Barrhead mum's warning following loss of autistic daughter to cancer
A BRAVE Barrhead mum who lost her severely autistic daughter to cancer has spoken out in hope of urging others to get clued up on symptoms affecting those with learning disabilities.

Eileen Douglas wants families to be aware of the signs so others don’t have to experience the levels of pain suffered by her and husband Neil.

Daughter Wendy, who died of breast cancer four years ago aged 36, had been unable to communicate her pain and symptoms to her family because of her condition.

Mum’s delight as autistic children to get ‘quiet hour’ Santa visits

The mother of a three-year old boy with autism is delighted her son will be able to meet Santa Clause tomorrow, thanks to her local council backing her ‘quiet Christmas’ idea.

Ashleigh McIlroy, from Limavady in Co Londonderry, said she brought Noah to a Halloween event in her home town but had to take him home again when the little boy was overcome by the noise and bustle of the busy celebration.

Disappointed but determined that her son wouldn’t miss out again in future, she decided to contact one of her local councillors, the DUP’s Alan Robinson.

All proceeds from the single will go towards projects that support children and families affected by bullying

Thank you, @AGXStarseed
If it is okay to mention: I like it better when you post news links listed one at a time. Maybe I am an outlier.

Well I've been told that firstly, when I post an article in full I'm in breach of copyright - even if I claim the article isn't mine and link the original source.
Secondly, I've been told that when I do post each story individually, it takes up too much of the 'New Threads' section - especially since I post a fair few news stories.

This is something of an experiment - seeing what people think.
