So I decided to start diving into this particular game. The real question is - will my character have intimate relations with a bear?

It is a great game so far despite the gratuitous mature content.

This is one of those games that looks really interesting, but I dont know that I'd have the patience for it. I'm not good with stuff like cutscenes, I lose interest fast.

But from a gameplay and design standpoint, what a marvel this one is. If it wasnt for the "too much talking" part I'd probably be really into it.

Well, that and the crazy amount of space it takes up.

That’s it. I will spend the next weekend binging this game. It is video game heroin.

I am doing my first playthrough completely blind, no walkthroughs or hints or spoilers.

It has been a VERY long while since a AAA game has left me in such a state of euphoria.

I tried playing Divinity OS II and just felt totally overwhelmed (although I did play the intro on multiple occasions, trying to figure out how to kill all of the helpful NPCs without repercussions), so I'm kind of curious as to how I'd fare with this. I recommended BG3 to my wife because she seems to like RPGs, and after about 5 minutes she was on the phone, desperately trying to get a refund... which thankfully worked, for the first time ever. That was exactly the last time I recommended a game to anyone because I'm really bad at telling what they'd like.

I got way too heavy into Neverwinter Nights just a few years ago, despite my inability to keep stories and characters straight in my head. Something really drew me to that game, even though I still have no idea what I really did in it aside from click a bunch of text boxes and kill the bad guys!

Are there a whole lot of environmental variables and mechanics? I really like the idea of that sort of stuff, especially if this is turn-based combat like Divinity was. Maybe one day I'll have a decent-enough PC to run it... in the year 2030 :D
