A Curious Mind With A Calico Heart
Hello! I received my Asperger's diagnosis rather late in life -- after having known I was on the spectrum for many years due to all the research I did when I my son was diagnosed in the second grade. I was reading books and web pages devoted to Asperger's and thought to myself, "Hey... this sounds terribly familiar." :)

I'm into music, theoretical physics, psychology, poetry... and more.

Due to a few rough years, I'm currently dealing with PTSD and an anxiety disorder. Fun times! ;)

I'm not sure what else you'd want to know about me. I'm open to questions! I'm looking forward to getting to know you... but it might take me a little while to feel comfortable. I'm sure a lot of you can relate.

Hi welcome to the forum, I sometimes write poetry and I've always been interested in psychology for some reason.

Hi, Paige! It's nice to meet you. Thanks for the welcome!

I think the interest in psychology, which began around age eight, was because I've always known I was different. To a certain extent, it helped to explain some of the reasons people behave in the ways they do.

As for poetry, I love word-play, using metaphors and double-entendres. Also, when I'm feeling too overwhelmed to write a long explanation, a short poem is like a compressed file. :D

Aha I'm quite good at using metaphors, I think like phycology cause I like to know how people's brains work differently to mine. What kind poetry do you like to write anyway?

Hmmm... I just kind of let the poetry dictate the style. I really despise restricting myself in order to write in any particular form. I suppose I write freestyle and prose. You can see some examples on my blog if you're interested. Art & Poetry | The Autistic Feline Owner's Manual Or... perhaps you were asking about the themes?

What about you? What kind of poetry do you write?

Welcome :)

I also have an interest in psychology, though I got in to it a bit later in life. My first passion is more art related. Theoretical physics sounds pretty cool; you must be quite bright then. I've always wished I had the math skills to understand it, as it seems a rather interesting field.

Hi I normally write sad poetry based on past experiences.
