Books you'd like to see adapted into Movies...

This thread is quite simple; put down any books you'd like to see receive movie adaptions. This doesn't count books that have had adaptions previously.

Here's a few examples;

1. Animorphs: This book series (which received a low-budget TV series back in the 90's) is about a group of teenagers who are given the power to morph into any animal they can touch - using this power to fight for Earth against an invading race of parasitic aliens called the Yeerks.
Apparently this series is getting a movie at some point, but I'd like to throw it in anyway.

2. The Asperger Adventure Trilogy (Blue Bottle Mystery, Of Mice and Aliens, Lisa and the Lacemaker): I think the majority of us have read or heard of these books from Kathy Hoopmann - each one following the three heroes (Ben, Andy and Lisa) into different adventures and situations while educating readers on Aspergers. I personally wouldn't mind if these were just TV movies as long as the adaption was done well.

3. Haze: Another one from Kathy Hoopmann - this time focusing on a teenager called Sebastian (Seb), who has a more grounded but equally interesting story-line as he receives his Asperger diagnosis during his teen years. The story also displays many issues Autistic teenagers go through such as bullying, struggling to make friends and dating. The story also goes into other issues such as the loss of a loved one and abusive relationships, which makes it a lot deeper and more realistic.

4. Aquila: This is another book that received a TV adaption some time back - following two boys on a school trip who accidentally stumble across an alien ship hidden underground. The book's plot then deals with the boys retrieving it, learning how the controls work and trying to keep it hidden while enjoying going for joyrides in it.

5. Z-Rex: A rather graphic and surprisingly believable thriller following a teenager who is suddenly thrown into a world of trouble when he ends up coming face-to-face with a revived and hyper-evolved T.Rex - with the pair trying to learn who 'created' the creature, for what purpose and what this has to do with the teenager's missing father.
Despite the silly-sounding premise, Z.Rex was a book I really enjoyed. It later had a complete trilogy with two sequels following it (Z.Raptor and Z.Apocalypse); all of which I think would make good movies.
(Dreamworks apparently may be making this at some point in the future).

Danger Girl comic book. It might be able to take the baton from James Bond. (It had tie-ins.) It also had Tomb Raider qualities. It might work for TV (like Arrow), too, but its set pieces would be more suited to the big screen.

It would have been fun to have a Danger Girl/Chuck crossover, too.

The Silmarilian. But spelled correctly.

That would be awesome - especially with seeing Ancalagon the Black on screen; considering how he was so huge that he makes Smaug look tiny in comparison.

Mine. Both of them. And any further books that I create.

Although, a full series seems to be the way to go now a days.
