British Children's TV Legend Bungle dies

It's a spoof story. It got me as well, at first. Bungle was played by various actors, as far as I know they are all still with us and none had the name mentioned in the article.

Thanks.
I wasn't familiar with the show OR the "news" site.
Now I have heard of two new things, in one day.:)

Southend News Network was originally started in October 2015 with no real aims or objectives in mind
other than to add a satirical/spoof-like touch to issues that people are passionate about in Southend
On Sea. Above all else, SNN is all about having the occasional ‘dig’ at the powers that be, as well a
slightly bigger and more frequent ‘dig’ at certain elements of local media!

The link below shows headlines for today, which illustrates
the premise of satire/spoof being their goal.

I don't think Rainbow was shown in the US, the Americans probably wouldn't get the jokes and stuff.

Rainbow was great. Great intro with flying shapes and colours. I loved zippy as he was like me, always annoying people unintentionally by saying the wrong thing or being too loud, I even wished I had a mouth zip like him. I think, if I remember correctly, the guy who voiced zippy also did the dalek voices. George I found simpering and annoying and bungle I always found to be a bit of a moaner.

The thing that used to annoy me about Rainbow was George, the Pink Hippo, camper than a row of Tents and had an incredibly annoying voice, and even when I was 5 I was convinced Bungle was gay.
