Mini "Bucket List" maybe ; ]

Well, how about this, tell us all one thing that you want to do before you end up in a rocking chair in a room full of cats :twitcy:

Kinda like a group mini bucket list of sorts, but name only 1 thing at a time and it has to be realistic, which means building a giant robot is probably out ; ]

So I already put all of your names into a hat and amazingly, I drew out my own, therefore I will go first:

Despite the aversion to crowds, the assurance of crappy seats, being in a crowded place, the damnable expense involved and this insistent dislike of crowds?
I wanna go to a professional wrestling event (Preferably a WWE Pay-Per-View)

Re: Mini "Bucket List" maybe ; ]

I never heard about the term "bucketlist" but then I thought a bit about it and figure "oh right".

Most things on my bucketlist would probably be NSFW and/or illegal, lol

- My project in general is on my bucketlist.

One of the aspects is to write "something"... that something would be either short stories that all tie together or a big story in the shape of a novel. That's also the tie-in with my art project. Currently I'm doing the art for it in a way of illustrating sort of like a comic book. Iconic "scenes" and some random newspaperclippings. Thus that's way of laying down a bit of foundation for it, as well as having a load of wikipedia-like entries on places, people, brands, companies in general. As well as me doing music for it. So I kinda what it to be big, full and complete, rather than just have a story describe people stuff... it's one of the reasons I like Star wars... the expanded universe, the setting, and how most things actually have history and all.

- And actually, on the end of my bucketlist is "to not die of old age". That's a conundrum of which I'm not really sure how that's gonna work out yet.

I have always wanted to go to India. I don't know if I will ever make it but I hope that I can. I know there is a great deal of suffering and poverty there, and I'm sure that will affect me, but the colors and music are intoxicating to me and I would love to experience them in their native landscape. It is such an ancient culture, it fascinates me.

Re: Mini "Bucket List" maybe ; ]

I really would like to go here, I have seen it in TV shows and films.

Has anyone ever thought about writing down a "Bucket List" of places you would want to visit in your lifetime. I have always thought about places I wanted to visit. Last week I finally decided to get some of them down on paper and add more as I think of them. So far I have a list of 24 places. Some of them because of natural marvels (Grand Canyon, Belize, Carlsbad Caverns), others because of man made marvels (San Francisco, Paris, the Great Wall), and still others because of things that have happened in history like Normandy Beach. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else had done this? if so, what kind of places would you want to see?

With gentle respect, NO! I dislike the MEDIA term "bucket list." As a young man I have traveled including Europe. Plus I was a professional photographer. But as a Jewish male I don't let the media mold/shape me via words like "bucketlist." I pray to Hera and the Sun Gods you get to go to the places you want to go!!!! Traveling frees the heart and soul...and so I was lucky enough to have traveled to my fill. I wish the same for you.

For those I've not been yet I'm interested to visit in Nepal, Tibet, Iceland, Svalbard, Queen Maud Gulf, Portland, Kola Peninsula, Vladivostok.

California, Oregon, Washington (state) for the cities, Rockies and forests. New York City, New Orleans, Paris, for the culture and architecture. Southern Italy for the scenery and history. Kenya and Peru for the wildlife and environment. India and China for the culture and novelty of being somewhere so different from home.

Thank you guys for your posts :) Glad to see others have thought about compiling a list and aren't offended by the term "Bucket List" I just didn't know what other term to put to it. I would type up all of my places I want to see but it would be quite a list lol I feel I have lived entirely too sheltered a life just because financially my family hasn't been able to go anywhere.
