Do you have forum related (or just for fun, something else) chat groups on Skype/discord/what's app or any other similar platforms?

There a general Chat room here, on-site.
And it's possible to have Private chat room style
messaging.

Some people use discord or other chatting services,
but those aren't anything directly related to or
supported by this site.

Thanks for the explanation, i was really hoping for members that already have such groups to give a response. There is very little activity on the forum chat.

It varies.

And what really seems to stimulate activity in Chat
is people noticing that somebody is in Chat.

There's also quite a lot of us that simply don't do chat - live conversation. Many of us prefer to have time to analyse and form opinions before giving responses instead of just answering "on the fly" as you do in a chat situation.

In a face to face situation I'm an excellent communicator but I rely on being able to actually see the person I'm talking to, to be able to gauge their body language and to feel their emotions. In chat or over the phone all of that extra information is missing and miscommunication is almost guaranteed.

@Outdated Ah i see, well you have your preferences. I find chat option to be more efficient mean of communication if the other side is committed to exchange. Depends on individuals, some people don't do on the fly talk even in such settings.
@ImaginativelyCute Great than, drop a message in forum chat or say if you want to exchange skype, discord etc..
