This is all coming from the French director of the [first] movie adaptation from 2006. He communicates with people who were a part of Team Silent. They developed the first four games in the franchise. ;)

Well, I would rather believe him over another random "insider" posting hearsay online. However, I do think Dusk Golem is reliable for information.

 
That all sounds nice and all, but...

if Konami is still involved, you can pretty much guarantee something goes wrong due to executive meddling.
 
I like the idea of a game with short stories, that could make for excellent ongoing DLC.

Does that mean different companies can chime in and contribute their own take on the town?

That's rather interesting. But maybe too ambitious a project to be made a reality.
