Emma Watson isn't a bad actor, but she definitely wasn't the right one for Belle. My only problem with the movie, is that to be brutally honest I don't think Emma Watson's pretty enough to be Belle, she's far from ugly, and she was great in the Harry Potter movies though.

If a character is gay, then they're gay. Let the movie speak for itself.
I think a boycott on churches would be the appropriate response next time it happens. You know, give them a dose of their own medicine?
A disney movie has a gay character? *gasp* Who'd have thought? (/sarcasm)
...I agree with LittleLemon about this, it seems like Disney are using this as an excuse for publicity more than anything else, or perhaps because the movie itself hasn't turned out that brilliant so they need another thing for people to focus on besides the quality of it?

Is this something that's exclusive to young girls, and if so... why? what purpose is this supposed to serve?Don't forget: We're living in a time where saying words like 'Killer' and 'suicide' in front of young girls is the equivalent of calling them the dreaded C word.
