My clothes don’t fit.!

I’m so tired of not having clothes that fit! I’m 6’2” and wear a large. I love hoodies and the sleeves are halfway up my forearm and the length is too short.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a size Large “tall” sweatshirt?! 😆

I'm also 6 feet and some inches and have had the same problem sometimes, finding clothes that fit right. And I'm familiar with sleeves that are way too short. You reach for something on the top shelf and suddenly you're wearing a sleeveless shirt. It's up around your shoulder. I have found that it helps to get your exact measurements, you can easily find sites where they explain how and where to measure. Measure everything between your neck and feet so you have those numbers.

Then look at the measurements of the clothes. Size large isn't all the same, I have t-shirts from different brands in the same size and one is longer than the other and narrower over the shoulders. I have bought t-shirts and ended up with a crop top too often 😆 because they are too short.

I have the same problem from the other end, I'm short and stocky. Shirts all have sleeves that are way too long and if it's a formal event I can't do the button on the collar up, my neck's too thick. I just have to hope the tie doesn't move around too much and make it obvious.

Lately though we've been getting cheap clothing from China and I love it, Made from bamboo fibre it's nice and soft like cotton, and it seems a lot of Chinese people are a similar shape to me.

It can be difficult to find a good fit. I think the clothing size system is too inaccurate.. 🤔 They started 'converting' sizes here, American sizes and EU sizes and something goes wrong in that process. I think it was more accurate before.

Here a lot of women are jealous of the way men's clothes are labelled, I think it's something to do with the way most men shop. For men's clothes here they don't have a stupid numbering system for different sizes, they have the actual measurements written on the label.

So I never have to try clothes on, waist 82 cm, chest 110 cm, grab what I want and march to the checkout.

That's perfect, that's all a man needs. :) It helps to know the exact measurements. And fit is important, a bad fit is just uncomfortable.

When I get home I still have to roll the legs of the jeans up though. They might be my size but they're rarely my shape. :D

The sleeves are always too long. Pants are always too long and the waist way too large. Shoulders are usually too large. I've adapted by just wearing baggy clothes and cinching the waist in with a belt and these nifty new button additions.

The sizes for women change dramatically from brand to brand. The cheaper brands from Walmart, etc, will downsize the size so women can feel good about wearing a size 12, when the more expensive brands, it would be size 18.
