I entered the 4 lines above into this:
Translate and Speak

The male voice was a little too enthusiastic,

but the female voice is delightfully robotic. :expressionless:

PHASE 2 will be PARAPHRASING

PHASE 2: PARAPHRASING

Paraphrasing Tool - Free Online Text Rewriting Tool

What I wanted to explore in this thread was:
A. How tone of voice affects a message and
B. the degree to which maintaining the
same vocabulary/frame of reference matters in communication

PHASE 3 would be LANGUAGE TRANSLATION

I wanted to use text to speech as a device to explore
how tone of voice affects a message. I intended to use
paraphrasing to demonstrate the degree to which
maintaining the same vocabulary/frame of reference matters
when communicating with another person.

The topic seems basic and crucial to me.

This thread demonstrates how paraphrasing can alter a message.
CHANGE ONE WORD

It's like the old children's game: Gossip or Telephone.

Here is a text to speech site, featuring male & female avatar that will
speak the words you enter in various accents.
Best Text-to-Speech Demo: Create Talking Avatars and Online Characters | SitePal TTS Demo

I used some of the items from the VIP Game, G-Rated Cussin' and
was amused by the result. Some other time I will post PHASE 3.

The topic interests me, even if it may seem obscure or that I am
over reaching myself.

"A hen laid an egg today. I was surprised. It's only March. And cold. But there is more daylight now."

That's what I entered and listened to in English today.
Male and female.

I paraphrased it, using the tool in the link.
The part about it being March doesn't paraphrase well.

"A hen laid an egg today. I was shocked. It's solitary March. What's more, cold. In any case, there is more sunshine now."

"A hen laid an egg today. I was shocked. It's single March. In addition, cold. Regardless, there is more daylight now."

I can see there is zero interest in this as a topic.

But, I often need paraphrases that convey the same meaning as an original statement,
when I am talking to a person. That way the other person knows that I understand the
message.
