Connect Google Nexus 6P phone to Chromebook

Topic.

I need a way to connect my phone to my Chromebook to download some pictures and videos I've took.

I tried to use a cable I use to charge my phone last night and it was not recognised by the PC.

Chromebooks and Nexus 6P phones are both Google products.

I just had a look on Google for data cables and found this on eBay, which would be the best to get? My phone is a Motorola branded Nexus 6P.

connect android phone to chromebook for file transfer - Google Search

Google Drive is mentioned, if you have a Google account that might be worth a shot instead of spending money on another cable. Store your files in the cloud and retrieve them on your Chromebook at any time.

Say, maybe I should try that next time...

Thanks, I did try that at first, recorded a video on my phone, and then looked for it on my Google Drive in the Google Photos folder, but it didn't come up.

Hence my idea for a USB cable.
