Any dash cam users out there? I took this video of my ride home a few days ago and spliced it all together because it was so windy. Even a few tumbleweeds here and there.

Impressive resolution with all that overcast.

The exposure takes a hit but it's all still clear- and sharp as can be. Very cool.

While I don't have a dashcam, I do appreciate how useful they are - especially if an accident happens right in front of you or if someone tries to trick you into ramming into them so they can try and make false whiplash claims.

How true. Something that goes over HUGE in Russia.

I kept waiting for either car, truck or motorcycle accidents to happen like in those Russian compilation clips.
And by the way, lettin' Frank handle your Vegas tour soundtrack shows you have class :D

You have to admit, they may be very helpful to government regulators apart from all the vehicle manufacturers. Simple point- it may rival or even beat the hell out of controlled test conditions and crash dummies, depending on the crash conditions and angle viewed. In any case it's the real thing in real time to evaluate.

Weird to consider only a short time ago such happenings could only be studied after-the-fact.

I used to watch a lot of dash cam drives on Youtube. It is a great way to get an idea of what a place is like without going. Love the palm trees in yours. I've never been to Vegas, or even paid much attention to it. Really interesting.

All I kept thinking about was how devastating it would be to hit a cactus on a motorbike :p

Well, I would have to say that you have incredible luck with stop lights. I would have been stopped many more times. Stop lights hate me.

Yeah, palm trees are awesome in the wind!

Exactly, why I bought mine.

LOL. I know what you mean. Though now that my new car spots a stop sign before I do and puts it in my HUD I'm ok with stop signs.

The day it starts driving itself should be the same day you consider walking :p

Wow, that's cool, I don't even have a HUD.

It's amazingly more visable to anything showing on my instrument panel. It's visually staggered so that it appears as if it was shown at a distance halfway down the hood of the car, but in reality it's projected on a clear plastic panel that rises up whenever the ignition is turned on. Which actually sits on top of the dashboard rather than a real HUD which requires a special type of gla$$.

It shows objects to my left and right, stop signs, speed limit signs, the speed I'm traveling at, and whether I'm too close to the vehicle in front of me if there is one.
