David Crosby: is he on the spectrum?

If you've seen the David Crosby (Remember My Name) documentary on Starz, which I did last night, do you think he may be on the autism spectrum? In favor of this hypothesis was the lifetime of struggling to maintain friendships, especially close ones. He also stated he was bullied as a child and bad at sports. He also hated to leave home and his safe environment. Or was he just a guy with anger issues and and a history of addiction? Sad documentary in any case. So talented.

...That some-years-back documentary, " Autism: The Musical " (
which has a new sequel out I haven't seen) showed an autistic son of Stephen Stills!

I don't know, but I just learned today that Neil Young didn't sing "I've been through the desert on a horse with no name". That wasn't him at all. I always thought it was Crosby Stills Nash and Young.

Wouldn't surprise me, but coulda been all acid he took in the 60s. Who knows. Almost cut my hair was a good song.

It seems like they never denied that it was highly influenced by Neil young

The Story Behind The Song: A Horse With No Name by America | Louder

“Neil Young grumbled a little at the tune’s familiarity when A Horse With No Name displaced his own Heart Of Gold from the top of the US chart. Bunnell shrugs: “I never shied away from the fact that I was inspired by Neil, who was and remains a great hero.””

I'm guessing that if David Crosby was autistic, he'd have quite a lot of attitude towards Autism Speaks, as opposed to having done benefit concerts for them. Nope, he just strikes me as exactly what he is. A prominent 60s counter-culture personality with some serious long-term substance abuse issues with a penchant for "messing with Texas".

Neurotypicals can be "difficult" too. Too bad though that Graham Nash won't even speak to him.

I don't understand why the horse had no name. I mean he had plenty of time and nothing else better to do than give that poor horse a name. But then again, the heat was hot.

Because you don't name livestock that you're going to end up selling, that way you don't grow emotionally attached.
