Delete profile - how?

It's not a gun issue. It's a people issue as is typical in the entire bloody world! I just came here to make friends and feel accepted. Instead I have been upset all evening and I haven't even left the house. All because I asked some questions. I don't need more hostility in my life. I just want to leave. And apparently can't even do that!

Sorry to see you go just because of the gun issue. As for deleting your account, they don't do that.

Just because of the gun issue? I think if it means enough to her that she's upset enough to wanna leave its not some small little thing like your wording implies. If it means this much to her then it matters just for that.

Or at least turn the notifications off?

If you still want to do this, I think I found something that might work for turning off notifications. I right clicked my name in the upper right hand corner and opened up a new tab. On the left side you should see a bunch of links under three blue categories - your account, conversations, and settings. Under 'settings' there should be a link called 'alert preferences'. Clicking this brings up all the check boxes for what you want to get alerts for. Theoretically, at least, if you uncheck all of them you shouldn't get alerts anymore. Whether this correlates to not getting email alerts, idk. I can only assume no alerts on the site mean no emails.

Sorry to see you go. It's surprising to hear you feeling uncomfortable here, I've seen very little of negative behaviour on this forum - a lot less than others I've been part of.

Take care.

Aw man, I apologise if you haven't had the best of experience. Try taking a short break for a while and if you find that you really need to go, we can only ban the account either temporarily or permanent based on your request.
