Hello,

I found it very insulting that I was required to get a IQ test. ( a real one when the doctor/etc gives you all the info to write and all that).
i got the results back and my offial iq is 73.
i got dianoised with asd

Welcome :)

I suppose that depends on where you are in your life, and how the news affects you. Perhaps if you tell us a bit about yourself, we can better understand your situation.

You may find it insulting, but you're now equipped with more information than you previously had, and you can use it to address issues related to employment and where you're meant to live, for example.

But as Vanilla said, we'll need a little more information to be able to give a real opinion. Plus, we like to get to know our new members!

Hi and welcome Timmy
I too suspect IQ tests can be skewed as well now. If your poor at maths and there is a lot of that in it it will give you an artifially low result. Mine was 98 because of the maths in it..

I wouldn't spend much time thinking about it Timmy. One's IQ score in the real world is relatively meaningless. In all the years I worked in a corporate environment I don't ever even recall anyone around me ever even bringing the matter up.

what should I do now? :rage: :flushed:

Ignore it. I.Q. tests are grossly overvalued (like the silly B.M.I., according to which I am 'overweight, borderline obese', even though my clothing size is 'medium', not 'large' or above).
Alternatively you could just do another one. Whenever I complete one of the many such tests that are online, my score ranges from a low of 105 to a high of 144, my result never being consistent, even when I do two or more on the same day, which just goes to show how reliable an indicator of intelligence they really are.
