Do you do dance class?

I want to do ballet as well as maybe a bit of tap, irish, line dancing, ballroom dancing, yoga and circus and hula hooping.
I did ballet when I was young as well as jazz and ta for a while
Do you dance or do dance class?

I enjoy dancing, but dance class is hard for me because learning choreography is a slooow process for me. Now I sometimes use videos for dance classes at home, so I can rewind as many times as I want.

I am having a hard time visualizing what circus dancing is. (?)

Nope. I have a suspiciously tall stack of dance records and my girlfriend and I have discussed learning dances but I don't think I am going to a dance class.

I'd rather do partnered dancing only with, well, someone I don't mind marrying someday. And it's a lot cheaper to keep the Victrola alive with some 3-in-One oil and a $4 pack of needles than to make the time investment and go across town to a swing dance club.

My "money for classes" is consumed by horseback riding lessons anyway because I can't have a horse for a pet in town. Simple enough. I should volunteer at the barn though.

I got involved in ballroom dance years ago and went to a bunch of competitions. The goal was to improve my social skills (this was before I was diagnosed). My social skills never improved, but I did get a lot of awards and trophies. Then I ended up married (still trying to figure out just what happened) and she said "Men who dance are not manly." That ended dancing. I still practice on occasion by myself (anybody surprised?) and I suspect it is a sort of stim.

The only time you will ever see me dance nowadays is at a club lol

I was a figure skater and a gymnast when I was much younger though!

Outrageous!! And one of your passions was crushed. This broke my heart to read. I’m glad you still practice solo. I bet your feet remember the way! Traditional ballroom dancing would be empty without the men! You are an integral part of the whole thing. It’s silly to say that it is not masculine.

Love ballet, but trying to remember the floor sequence can be taxing. For those new to ballet, the first part of class is barre then floor work. So l usually do barre which l love, and l then leave the class. Barre is really a stim for me, l love the repetitive exercises and the stretching. And some others do barre and leave also. I have done pole which is becoming more acceptable as a great way to develop upper body strength yet l have had men roll their eyes and assume the worst. However in the very high end place near me, they have opened a pole studio so change is coming. Tap class is fun. I use to do a lot of jazz, to release the tightness from ballet. I do qualify for intermediate ballet level but my form sucks to some extent. Let's not forget belly dancing, so much fun, l love 45 mins of this class which you can find online or DVDs and really feel the burn.

I truly wanted to be a dancer, as a child. I would watch through windows of the ballet school in town, wishing I could be one of the girls in their barre exercises. But I never had dance classes in my youth. We were very poor, and valued other things as essential.

I still love dance, and crave it in my life. I have, as an adult, taken classes. I used to dance nearly every night in clubs. I am a little clumsy, and shy, but that's part of the fun. Dancing, for me, brings great joy.

I do not, I don't like dancing at all!

My daughter does ballet classes and she loves dancing tho
That is go

I love horse riding too. But I have not been in a very long time.

Wow men can dance as much as women even straight men.
Some of the best dancers in the world are men, patrick swayze, gene Kelly, fred Astaire.
I hope you can do what you love

I have not done it in a long time but when I did it when I was younger I prefers barre too
I think tap is cool and I can do some basic steps but it is very hard on the legs and take a lot of coordination because it is very fast and has a few little movements very fast and u have found that to be difficult, I have dysperxia where you are uncoordinated but still love dance
