Do you shave your face, or do you let your facial hair grow out?

I always make sure to shave my face within two or three days for two reasons:

  • My facial hair grows out a little weird (there are patches where hair won't grow)
  • Facial hair causes my face to itch

Im usually clean shaven unless it's rodeo season. I tend to grow out a bit of some beard then to keep me warm during the outside tournaments.

I don't have a real rule for it I guess. Sometimes I'll let it grow and go for a full on "doomsday prophet-look", that includes me not cutting my hair either. And other times I shave. That being said, when I tend to grow something that resembles a beard, it takes a few months to grow decently, so I'm not shaving for a while.

However, I usually have a small goatee all the time because the skin behind my chin is a bit flabby, and it helps concealing it a bit.

Luckily I can have both looks as one doesn't make me look weird or anything. At least that's what I've heard.

My facial hair doesn't bother me a lot. If I'm having an itch on my face it's my skin in general that itches. For my sake I'm not crazy enough to try and peel it off. But I usually shave off my other body hair, including my arms and such, because a slight breeze that makes them move back and forth annoys me a lot. But that also is cause I wear tshirts a lot. Legs, not so much cause mostly only wear shorts when it's really hot.

I seem to have settled into a routine, of growing a 'beard', then shaving it off when I can be bothered or there's some special reason to. (Like spending Xmas with parents).

I used to shave every second day.
Then one day I just decided to try growing a beard to see what it looked like and when I realized I looked a bit like an 80 year old physics professor I then experimented with different styles.

Now I shave every second day again, for my job.
I was also slow to grow facial hair hence the shave only every second day LOL. My hair grows wild on my legs and arms though, like a gorilla ; ]

I did Movember last year (where you don't shave your mustache all November), and results were....disappointing. So I usually shave every day. If I don't shave it doesn't look very good, and I want to make a positive impression in case I meet someone during the day :)

I don't have facial hair.
I am, however very diligent about shaving my legs.

My boyfriend insists on some facial hair and I really hate it. Especially when he shaves his head AND has facial hair.

I once tried a beard for a bit but I prefer to shave as a beard can become irritating/itching.

I let it grow out occasionally, and due to my own laziness and unusual capacity for growing facial hair very quickly I tend to keep it for a while. It's kinda an off and on thing, I let it grow some, shave, let it grow thick, shave, let it grow again, so on and so on...

I should just let it grow out then post some pics sometime just to let you guys see what a true "mountain man" looks like ;)

Every single night I shave. It looks odd considering how hairy I am everywhere else, but that's the price for keeping my face cool.

Whatever's built into this laptop! It's an Asus, think I posted it's specs in that thread, though. Strangely, there didn't seem to be any software for it on here; it'd obviously work with, say, Skype but my previous laptops had software to let you take pictures or do videos offline. Hardly matters, I suppose, with so many free programs around!

I shave every other day even though I should really shave everyday. It's just uncomfortable to have a mustache or a beard. And looks do matter. I want to give a good impression to people.

I usually don't shave my face. I let my facial hair grow out. Oh, I do that almost all the time, except when I go to meet friends :)

I just want to look presentable to them.

I always shave my face because I just look scruffy otherwise. The downside is that the disposable razors I use are a bit expensive. On the very rare occasion I don't shave for 2 or 3 days it can be a bit sore shaving it off again.

Shaving is a nuisance, so I let mine grow out lol
Your right, shaving is a nuisance. I asked "She Who Must Be Obeyed" if I could grow a beard, but she said no. Oh well, beards are kind of itchy.

I hate shaving, but I do have a beard trimmer...I used to maintain a beard, but now I just take the comb off the top and maintain a "Hugh Laurie Dr. House stubble." Shaving is just too much trouble for me.

It's been a while since I shaved twice over two days. Thinking about another beard though for the new year.
