Do you write song parodies ?

Do you ever come up with parodies of your favorite songs ?

I'm currently coming up with a song parody of Alan Jackson's dust on the bottle called "A little poison in that bottle" which is about a guy who's fed up with his hag of a wife, poisoning her.

I was also thinking of doing something with Guns N Roses's "November rain" called "Thanksgiving pains" about celebrating Thanksgiving with your in laws XD

I've done a few. Back in high school our MS Works training book was packed full of references to a fictional restaurant called Bob's Burgers and More. My cousin and I talked about it all the time because we sat next to each other, we imagined what this place must be like. One night I had a dream about it, and in my dream I heard a radio commercial for a new franchise nearby. So in those next couple hours I wrote a parody to Mariah Carey's Vision Of Love, called Vision Of Bob. Then sang it for him while playing the bass line, he was literally on the floor laughing.

Then just a few months ago my daughter had an extra credit project to write a song parody about Mesopotamia, so we parodied Sting's All This Time because it was about water and had a historic feeling to it, she looked up facts and I helped arrange them. Then we ran through it many times while I played the bass part. The teached loved it but she was the only person in the class to even attempt the project so she never got the grade.

I made a couple short ditties about work, one to the tune of I've Been Working On The Railroad but I forgot how it went already. I know it was about zoning CDs though. Haha

Then I have another parody, from the instructions section of The Lonely Island's "D*** In A Box"

"1- cut the tape on the box
2- take the freight out that box
3- then you collapse the box,
and take it to the bailer, it's some freight in a box!" Lol

Im chatty today. I think it is my new medicine.

So, i think this actually is an aspie thing, but I am constantly singing songs with my own lyrics put in.I rarely know the real lyrics anyways. Mostly my dog is the only one that has to hear them thankfully. I just was walking him and changed the words to Missy Elliot's "get your freak on" to be about him takin a leak.

I be puttin it down
down to pp town
Ill told yall mutha (skurt)
Yall can stop me now

Get your leak on
getcha getcha leak on.
