Does anyone else love to mimic animal noises?

I have always loved to mimic animal noises. I have an easy time replicating the noises exactly, to the point of the animal thinking I sound exactly just like another one of them. I especially like bird calls and like to get them going by doing call and response with them. I also love communicating with cats this way. I think it is also a stim for me, because Iike to do bird calls when no birds are around. If you do love animal sounds, which are your favorite?

I talk back to crows and mourning doves when
I am out walking.

Haven't heard a coyote for quite a while.
I used to talk back to them. They seemed to
conclude that I sounded crazier than them
and they 'd subside.

I don't talk to barn owls.

I'd like to be able to make more red wing black bird sounds.
I can do the second one.

I'll talk to my pets with their own sounds sometimes. I also do it with birds outside. When I have one of those phases that are probably what gets called "ADHD zoomies", I will sometimes yodel the word "meow" or sing it in an opera like manner.

I can do a pretty good imitation of donkeys braying. You have to gradually tune up, start slowly with the heehaws and then develop it into a full blown, plaintive, repetitive bellowing. My donkeys often answer me back so I guess I'm a certified jack ass. ;)

One bird call in Australia is the nation's absolute favourite, to us it's the sound of home. It might seem impossible but I've heard people do reasonable imitations.

The magpie sounds more of a difficult song to mimic...it would take lots of practice. I think its because of their sort of buzzing warbling that underlies their calls. Very cool sounds ! They have quite a range.

I used to meow/ sing to my cat every day. He loved it :) I also used to make up nicknames for him or words (when talking to him) that were based on the sounds he would make. For example, meowmernid. He had tons of nicknames because I have a lot of made up words for everything...not just the cat :)

I like to talk to the animals in the park near my house. The squirrels are also pretty funny because they are easy to get going. They always stare at me sideways like they cannot believe what I am saying to them or they think I am crazy. I like blue jays, peacocks and mocking birds too....and the bird of paradise at the zoo. It's also fun because its a stim that people do not usually notice.... they don't think it is the person making the noise :)

For a few months last year the yak people had a donkey.
She was incredibly loud.

I can make yak sounds.
And moderately successful donkey sound.
Copied from the one that was in the pasture
last summer.

I would too! #1 was one of my favorite bird calls as a kid. It reminds me of being at the Audubon Park in the summertime. I don't hear these birds where I live now.
