I ask this because Hilary Clinton's just got seized. I run my own email server on CentOS Linux. I ditched the free ones because their security is, at best, dubious and you have no privacy. I don't like having my metadata sold to the highest bidder. I'm actually surprised at how easy it was to do. The hardest part was getting around my ISP blocking Port 25 (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol port) All I did was set up a cloud VPS to then forward my email over Port 587 (Submission) to my server.
Also, please tell me how an ISP blocking ports is not a clear violation of net neutrality. You have to pay more to get certain traffic. To me this is a clear violation.
