does anyone still play pokemon after you beat the game?

This may be an old thread, but I'll answer anyway.

I'm very competitive when it comes to Pokémon, so I organize a team to do WiFi battles with. I look for the best natures, IVs, EVs, Pokémon that support each other, all that good stuff.

Then I just battle people online. :)

I just train my team up to level 100, maybe catch a couple of Pokemon. I don't bother with all that EV training and everything, I don't have the time or the amount of brain cells and focus for that. I don't bother battling people online since I know I'd loose anyway, there's no fun in loosing over and over again and I have no one to battle against in the first place, no one in their right mind wants to play a game with me.

I'd love to catch 'em all, but I've only caught about 300 of however many Pokemon there are now. I should really stop obsessing over the Dragon types so much and go after the other Pokemon more.

I'm still curious about using Ditto to copy Eevee so I can get all the evolutions in one game. Using an emulator doesn't exactly allow me to connect with friend's devices.

Anyone play the card game? My 21 year old son collected almost all of them.. very expensive hobby
I ask as I've recently gotten into the Uh-Gi-Oh card game from the kids TV series with my 10 year old, which very similar and makes me wish I'd gotten into Pokemon back then :D

I collect the cards, but I've never actually played the game.

I just bought all the games and traded Pokemon with myself, it's easier for me that way, I don't like dealing with people much. I love the Eeveelutions.

If I'd had the finances, I'd have had Pokemon, Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh decks. Maybe even Magic the Gathering, but I'm not sold on that yet. No hot anime boys to help advertise the game. ;)
(And it's not creepy if you were a kid at the time you drooled over animations!)

I'd have had Pokemon and Digimon cards if I had had enough cash on me.

(Hey, I had crushes on anime characters before when I was younger, nothing wrong with that.)

Does that mean it's creepy if you drool over them when you're 47, with 2 kids? I love watching Uh-Gi-Oh with my youngest, as well as Batman, Spiderman, Justice League, etc..
We drew on a Uh-Gi-Oh game tonight cos it was his bed time :D (He was slaughtering me!)

I hope not. I still have a crush on Matt from Digimon season 1 and he's WELL below my age now! And to think, he used to be older than me.

After the original Red and Blue releases, I was never much of a collector. The fun for me was in exploring, but I think they've started to release more new features that are only unlocked near or after the elite four to keep people playing. Smart move.

I just keep playing until i burn myself out. I'm playing Alpha Sapphire right now, but after getting the last badge, I think it's break time. This is from someone that compulsively catches every new pokemon in an area before moving on, mind you.

I'm on omega ruby and I just start the game all over. I also use action replay to make it easier. Like I got every single Pokémon on mine from the first generation until now in the former of eggs, but all you do is take one step and they automatically hatch But I am interested in what Pokémon sun and moon will bring later this year.

No, because at 12 days shy of 40 I'm too old for Pokemon :D

I did used to play Pokemom Gold on the DS though.
