Don't Work for "Penny Miller"

Bellatrix

Space Left Deliberately Blank
Just this morning I - once again - lost my job. It wasn't really all that great anyway, so I'm not too upset about that aspect of it, but I most definitely AM upset over why it happened. Basically I was paid a certain percentage (20) for all orders placed by customers, so as you can no doubt imagine, the pay was basically chicken-feed. I could live with that, because I was doing something and getting paid to do it, which is rare enough for me, but what really pi**ed me off was the fact that apparently even this lousy amount was too much for poor old "Penny Miller".

There I was, with "da boss", discussing a pay discrepancy. I was given the amount owed to me in a small envelope, and straight away I could see that it was nowhere near 20 percent of the orders I had received from the customers. I asked - politely - why this was so, and the excuse I was given just did not make any sense, and so I came straight out and said so. I don't exactly like people who try to rip me off. In fact, I absolutely loathe the very air and space they waste with their decrepit corpses, so as you can no doubt imagine I was very upset and not prepared to accept the crummy amount she was offering me. When I said as much, she all of a sudden stormed off in a bad temper, and her parting words were, "You're not working for Penny Miller anymore".

Fine! Screw those rotten, exploitative sh**heads! (Am I allowed to swear here?). Do yourself a favour (as Ian Meldrum would say), and DO NOT EVER WORK FOR THAT COMPANY! Avoid them like the proverbial plague, because they WILL try to swindle you. Rotten capitalist bastards! Their heads should be displayed on a pike in the public square, the way those I.S.I.S. psychopaths do.

Okay, well I'm glad I got all of that out :)

Seems to me that you were being taken advantage of! She got caught out duping you and behaved like a child herself actually to say it like that, but what she was trying to do, was treat you like a child.

Well, if it is not allowed to be swearing here, you certainly have gone against the rules :p

When I encounter injustice, I am also given to swearing ( but so far, not in public); it feels sort of cleansing to swear, especially as I actually hate swearing and do not use it in regular speech.

I am pretty sure there are a few "Penny Miller's around" all over the world!

good on you for sorting those thieves out,you might not have a job now but at least your more prepared for your next job in terms of rights, and no doubt you will get another soon hopefully.

It sounds like that place wasn't very good to work at. There will be another opportunity coming your way soon.
