Dreams [hopes for the future]

inkfingers

21 year old artist
I have always had a passion for art. I love to paint and draw with a dip pen and ink, and recently won an honorable mention award for one of my pieces at my college. I really want to change the world and impact people through my artwork, and raise awareness and understanding about Autism. I'm working toward a Fine Arts degree because that can be applied to many creative jobs, including jobs that don't require a lot of interpersonal skills, like web design or illustration. My ultimate dream is to become a famous artist, and have my works featured in the National Gallery of Art. I know this is a long shot, but I really want to make a big impact, and make people think about what I communicate through my art.

Does anyone else have a big dream? Something probably unattainable but that you are extremely passionate about? I think that if you work hard enough, you can make your dreams come true (or at least get half-way there)...

I have similar aspirations, but minus the National Gallery of Art. I guess I just want to be a professional artist, but it's some way away as I gave up art for over 10 years to study other things. Should have stuck to my original goal of studying either Fine Art or Illustration back when I was 19, but I guess nothing is stopping me from pursuing it now.

Good luck to you with it! :) All I can say is don't get discouraged and keep going and you'll reach your dreams!
