Hi guys, not sure how to word it. But do you ever feel sad or depressed or...just down, even though generally you are happy. I'm over the moon with my life as it is right now, but there's this underlying sadness and I don't know why. Recently I got told I probably have ADD, so that might be it. I might be mistaking having no motivation and feeling tired with feeling upset. Or maybe I'm just upset because of the lack of motivation and stuff. Meh. I don't know. :(

It's temporary, I'm sure. It's likely a combination of website responsibility and the labels of diagnosis that are making you feel awkward, as it's a fairly new experience.

I feel sad when I'm really happy because I just think something bad is bound to happen. Like someone get murdered or something o_O.
Yeah. I watch too many programs about serial killers(is it me or do they ALWAYS kill when it's a kid birthday party, or something D:?)
EMZ=P

Hang in there :)

I'm not sure if this is the same, but sometimes I feel overwhelmingly sad, but I look around me and think, "I have every reason in the world to be happy", yet somehow, I just am unable to feel happy at that time.

It is February and you are living in the UK. The days have been short and dim for several months. Now is about the right time to be getting symptoms of SAD if you are at all prone to that. The thing about it is that you are not going to be consciously aware of what is causing your depression. If I were you I'd read up on it a bit and see if the shoe fits.

willow have you thought of getting one of those lamps that are supposed to help people with sad?

heres quite a nice one and fairly well priced considering that others are a lot more expensive http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-5460.aspx

Thanks for the link, I do have those 'day light' light bulbs throughout my entire house though. But I could look at getting a proper one.

Benji, I think you're right in that generally people's moods and performance are affected during the winter months, but I think it's only considered SAD if it causes significant interference in daily life.

It depends on what its linked to I think. It used to make me upset cause of golf. The ball doesn't go so far when it cold.

:blink:

To each their own, I guess. Everyone has their emotional triggers...

Oh god yeah. I can be perfectly fine but if the internet isn't working properly at Willow's it can really stress me out... in a few seconds. :(

The only worse thing than the internet not working is the internet working a little bit. It flickers on and off for a few seconds each time. Biggest [acronym=pain in the ass]pita[/acronym] ever.

The internet connection is a huge stressor for me, too. It's like I can't move on until I get the connection working, even if there's nothing on the internet I actually want to do. If I bring my laptop to class and know I won't need the internet connection, I turn the wireless off so that on the off chance that I can't get a good connection, I don't spend class trying to get a connection. Haha, that day that Aspergic was down for a few hours, I kept trying the site to see if it was back up. That was not a healthy perseveration--I could barely pay attention in class or study for the exam I had coming up!

Lol, it does my head in when the site is down too. It's extra-stressful when there are connection problems on the other end since there's nothing you can do about it lol. :(
