Fall colours 2022

Here goes, a favourite time of year to take photos, a brief week or two when our leaves turn yellow (we don't other Fall colours like out east ) :rolleyes:

Colours here in Alberta have been a little weak this year, but a walk in a local park today, my strange approach once again, now it's your turn to show off, I might add some more of mine to this thread yet...

Red Oak acorns & leaves from the neighbor's tree. We have white oak, the other neighbor has pin oak, and I have no idea what the striped acorns are. I'll post them if I think of taking a photo of the ones I've found. Had no idea there was so much variation in acorn size and colors until we moved into an oak forest!

Huh. I do not recognize that building. Is it new construction or an older building that was refurbished?
