For those of you who can't wait for Fallout 5, or even for those who can, Fallout London's hit the streets at last.
A humongous mod that's larger than F4 + DLC's, all based on the various districts of London. In fact the download is pretty much as large as the game itself. You'll need a non updated (re: the recent Fallout 4 update from Bethesda) install and a pretty up to date version, (cheap on GOTY if you haven't already bought it all nice n' legal like and thus able to just update online).

So save yourself a bundle by loading up London in Fallout instead of all that tedious tourist stuff of actually visiting the miserable pre-apocalypse version when you have a far more fun London to tour around here! And no firearm restrictions any more! Mind the gap!

You have piqued my interest.
I might have a look.
I have never played the Fallout franchise.

With all the sewerage problems you've been having in recent decades I thought it was on it's way to looking like that soon anyway. :)

Well, in reality, a nuclear devastated London actually counts as an environmental improvement! But I didn't want to put anyone off playing the mod!

The truth of the matter is every two weeks I hit the Smoke to visit my mum, I have to dodge rad-shrews at the station, the tubes are packed full of ghouls, especially at rush hour! And the super mutants in police uniforms muttering "Hullo hullo hullo" before attacking with a +5 damage truncheon are getting to be no joke!

Even my VW power armour's getting pretty smashed up, I should have gone with the BMW model instead! Or even the Mercedes? (Mind, the older Volvo models are pretty tough!)

I can't wait to hit Brixton and see if my old flat's accessible! That would make a great settlement!
Failing that, a visit to the Brixton Ritzy cinema, or one of the music venue's could be fun!
It'll be a riot! (sorry, that's an in joke)

Check out the video's, plenty around for Fallout London.
But Fallout 4 is pretty old now, so it's gameplay not graphics that'll be the thing if it appeals. I'd try the basic game first as the standard pack has lots to do - London appeals for me having got bored with years of tramping the wastelands fully levelled up and wasting anything and everything in my path - gets boring. But as I lived in London a good while, that kinda appeals special.

It's available cheap on GOG.com, I think about $15 or thereabouts. If you ever played SkyRim then it's pretty much same engine, but set in a future scifi nuclear apocalypse.

Dammit! Bloody thing crashes rather badly after escaping the lab, ho-hum, off to update the graphics drivers! 🙄

Send pics when you do.

I am pretty much at the same place with Elden Ring.
Soon I will be starting the game in "New Game Plus", if you know what that means.

You could always restart with another character, right?

I have.
It was a ground-breaking game at the time.

What? Yet again!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I got the thing running without crashes, but it ain't easy, Brixton looks a long way away from where I stand now! It's pretty impressive and well put together. Loads a bit slower but level changes aren't any worse than the vanilla version. Useful kit is hard to come by though, it's not as forgiving as FO4. Still, should keep me busy while I wait for STALKER2.
But I've got to say, ghouls with a cockney accent are just, well, not right! 😬

Yes, again.
I must have gone through Elden Ring 5 times, now, and it is a huge game.
How about ewe?
Nah, never could get into swords and sorcery. I need some sort of logic in the story structure, and I also love mad/black science (which Fallout takes to extremes in a humorous way). I couldn't even get into Elder Scrolls, I know the game mechanics are the same, but I can't get absorbed by the story. A lot of scifi turns me off because of it's lack of consistency and use of 'magical scientific' plot devices, and if anyone mentions Marvel films I'll vomit on the spot! 😄
Fallout gets round this nicely by not taking itself seriously and doing it as much for laughs as anything, then plugging it for what it's worth. Pockets sized fusion reactors, and mini nukes fired from a spring loaded launcher like a future version of the British ww2 PIAT! Hilarious!

I was a huge Fallout 4 fan, until the next-gen patch forcefully added some Creation Club content. I don't want any mods in my game. I've tried to play it, but can't ignore them and can't get it right in my head. I'm on PS5, so I can't revert to the previous version of the game, either.

How annoying! One reason I always preferred PC gaming to consoles.
I deeply dislike that sort of thing, If I buy something, I don't expect someone to pop round one night and spray it a different colour without asking me first!

I agree! Fallout 4 will forever be linked to PS4 for me, such fond memories. It may seem silly to some people that I can't get over a few small quest mods, but it's not content created by the developers. So in my opinion it should not be added to the game forcefully. Haven't played since last June, or so. Maybe I can do a casual run in the near future. But my collecting character's days (sadly) I think are over.

Not silly at all imho. Games have matured into their own range of media. Some of which are effectively a story, a piece of fiction, and to rip out a chapter in a book, and add a few more in here and there, is changing the original art forever. Some people aren't bothered about that, personally, I think it's fine, when I have the choice and understand the impact. I'd be hugely narked off if I bought a new copy of Clockwork Orange only to find J.K. Rowling had rewritten a few chapters! Me and my droogs viddy problems with that!

Thanks for saying so :) I agree! It's nice to have the option but personally, I prefer to play as the developers have intended. Not with forced fan content.
