Hello everyone,
I've long thought that I have aspergers, and my partner definitely has. We've been told that our five year old daughter has too. I've joined to hopefully get tips on how to best support her, and if I can help others too, I will. I joined here because there's no anonymity on Facebook. I'm going to have a look around your lovely site now.

hi nutmeg, welcome to AC,its the best autism site on the internet in my opinion [ive been e-surfing the autism support forums since i was 16 and im 33 now].

i will help where i can but youve also got the whole forum supporting you- just post your questions to us all,i come from a different part of the spectrum but i can relate to some of the issues aspies and HFAs specifically face.
as for facebook, there is a way to get anonymous support, there are actually some amazing secret autism groups that cant be found normally-you have to add the founder of the groups and they ask you about your connection to autism if i remember correctly and then they add you to some great groups.

i was admin for a while on a very big but awesome one-full of parents, and autistic parents, autistic people,NTs with autistic family and friends and so forth;professionals to-the founder is an autistic journalist/author and all of her children are autistic,if you want me to give you her generic facebook account so you can get added to the group just give me a private message on here.
oh....i should say as well, these secret groups DO NOT show up on your facebook wall so NO ONE from your contacts can see what you write.
