To tell you the truth, I don't have a favourite brand of faucet because I do not know what the differences are between them. Why is Moen your favourite?

I was impressed with some of their products such as the U by Moen Smart Faucet and the Engage with Mangetix Showerhead, as well as my brand new Genta Waterfall Faucet and they seem to be great quality. Delta and Kohler are good brands too, but I like what Moen tends to offer. Also, my favorite homebuilder (Fulton Homes) uses Moen products in their homes.

OK, I want to change my vote – and instead of utilitarian go in the totally opposite direction – does anyone make a faucet something like this?

I recently replaced all the faucets in the basement and outdoors, I used Oras from Finland because they have a simple, clean design and a long guarantee. But for the bathroom, laundry room and kitchen I want something more fancy, maybe something with an antique bronze finish.

As long as it's not one of those stupid motion activated ones in the airport that NEVER EVER WORK RIGHT, then it's a good faucet as far as I'm concerned.

I couldn’t for the life of me find a clip of it, but does anyone remember this scene from the movie Garden State when the guy walks down the line of faucets at the airport and everyone goes off as he walks by?

I think there are huge differences. Not just in design, but very much in quality. There are some beautiful faucets that a pleasure very time you use them. You actually enjoy them, they are that nice. There are faucets that always make your day harder and each time you use them you remember that.

I have never been able to afford the nice ones I like but Moen has some I would love to have. Would be a dream to replace kitchen faucet with something really nice.

I totally agree! I didn’t think of how often one actually uses a faucet, but @grommet, you are right that something one uses so often does have an effect on one’s day. If it is beautiful to you, feels good, and works well it could definitely brighten your days a bit.

I think it's a big thing. You use something nice that works so well and you see and feel the quality and it just stops you, you think how wonderful it is and you smile. I think these things matter a lot. I do not have nice things but I have nice bedding. The best I could afford and many times I would be in bed and being enjoying them so much, it made me happy.

I have always wanted really nice faucets but they are hundreds of dollars. Such a pleasure to to have that smooth perfect feel when you turn them on or off and they look so good. I envy people who have nice ones. I also appreciate the companies who makes such nice things.
