Favorite cartoons

I love cartoons. So, I created this thread to talk about them, and we can talk about our favorite cartoons.

I'm in love with Gravity Falls, a show about two kids, Dipper and Mabel, who are spending their summer in their great uncle's tourist trap in somewhere called Gravity Falls. A lot of mysterious things starts to happen, like apparitions of gnomes, zombies.
And every episode has a coded message and instructions to decode them. A lot of cool mysteries to solve.

Stan: I'm guessing Adventure Time is another favorite. I like it too.

Sportster: I love the old Looney Tunes as well, but let's not forget that "not politically correct" is...understating it quite a bit in some cases (there's a reason why Warner Brothers sticks plenty of "These cartoons are a product of their time" disclaimers on their Looney Tunes and Popeye DVD sets aimed at adult collectors). I would be pleased to see my little nephew become a Looney Tunes fan at some point (he's in more of a Curious George phase right now), but I wouldn't really want him to be exposed to the ones with ugly racial stereotyping until he was quite a bit older and had some understanding of the historical context (not that that's really high on my list of worries, I can imagine him just thinking his uncle is kind of of weird for being into old cartoons from 80-90 years ago :p).

Oh how I LOVE cartoons! I think that's actually one of the things that helps me get along well with my kids! We're all big fans of Adventure Time and Regular Show. I'm also a bit nostalgic for the great cartoons from the 90's - Cow & Chicken, Two Stupid Dogs, Rocko's Modern Life, Gargoyles, Eek the Cat, oh heck, I could go on and on :P

Then there's the ones I don't let my kids watch, like Archer and Bob's Burgers :)

In fifty plus years, I have had the opportunity to see a LOT of cartoons. However, my favorites would have to be any of the ORIGINAL (not politically correct) Looney Toons with Foghorn Leghorn and Yosemite Sam being my favorites:

The Yosemite Sam compilation was really funny

Nickelodeon launched here very late, so I had the chance to grow up watching '90s cartoons, like this epic crossover:
:)

I had a lot of cartoons I loved as a kid. Honestly, I could easily list 30 of them. :D
Here's some intros:

X-Men - Animated Series

Zorro - Animated Series

Cardcaptors

Godzilla - The Animated Series

Pokemon (Would have deserved a slap for not including this. :D)

Might as well add some more while I'm at it. :D

Moomin

Hey Arnold!

Beyblade G-Revolution (Couldn't find an English version in decent quality, so enjoy the first episode. :D)

The Scooby Doo Show

Recess

Some favorites have been mentioned already. High on the list is Bob's Burgers. I just finished going through all seasons and I'll just go ahead and watch them all again; it's just too good. Apparently I moan like Tina, so now I moan even more, just for the fun of it.

Some others I like...

Duckman

King of the Hill

Dr. Katz

Some more...

Pinky and the Brain

Three Friends and Jerry

and probably the first cartoon I'd go and sit in front of the television for in advance
Stop The Pigeon

It has to be Coyote v. Roadrunner for me - no wabbit, because the best part of the Roadrunner cartoons is the lack of dialogue.

Those are some of my favorites too. Probably the closest that the Looney Tunes ever got to the work of silent comedians like Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd.

Give me the classics (All the Fleischer Brothers output (Popeye, Betty Boop, Superman), Disney (up until Walt died), Warner Brothers (until they closed animation in the 1960's), MGM (all but the dreadful Tom and Jerry Shorts produced by Gene Deitch), Walter Lantz (Universal), Jay Ward, Paul Terry (Mighty Mouse, Heckle and Jeckle, Tom Terrific (which was commonly seen on Captain Kangaroo), Charlie Mintz (Columbia), IPA (mostly Mister Magoo, and some Gerald McBoingBoing) and Ub Iwerks (apart from Disney). Most of the modern stuff makes me want to barf (except maybe Phineas and Ferb (and that one is even getting long in the tooth), Samurai Jack, Ren and Stimpy (but in very small doses), Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, the Power Puff Girls (not the proposed reboot), and Teen Titans (not the current reboot).

Never teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time, and annoys the pig.

I love the original Scooby Doo cartoons which I think were made in the late 60s and early 70s. Some great British made cartoons were The Perishers, Rhubarb & Custard and Will O the Wisp which were originally shown in the late 70s and early 80s.
