On SHOP — FABSCRAP scroll down and you can find the current featured designer.

You can purchase pieces from him through the online store.

If you're near Brooklyn or Philadelphia and looking to volunteer, you can sign up for a session through the FabScrap website.

Deadline passed for this job, but if you think sorting fabric could be a soothing activity for you, then this might be a job for you! Full time with alright salary- very livable. Harder to live off of in NYC, but it has benefits and much easier than living off of disability.
I get the sense that if you have a disability, that they'd work with you, especially if you could show you were good with fabric and maybe enjoy repetition too. You could also practice for the job or similar by volunteering. You get free fabric if you volunteer for about 3 hours or so, and if you have no job experience at all or nothing recent, this could be a good way to get started.

I think @Tony Ramirez is in this area- so maybe this is an idea.

There might be some contact with people, but it would most likely be kind people rather than angry people because either they want to give you fabric, buy fabric, or volunteers that help you sort fabric.
