Feeling awkward posting online

Anyone else feel awkward posting online usually? Wherever I am I usually just lurk. I usually either feel like whatever I have to say isn't really that important, I might share too much info, or what I say will be 'cringe'

Don't even really know what to post here :weary:

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find understanding and acceptance here. Feeling unsure and awkward is a very common theme among us. You are in kind company here!

Let us know if you need any help figuring out the forum.

You aren't alone. Most people who register with this site either seldom post or never at all.

Just look at the forum statistics. An astronomical number of registered members, yet the number of regular posters at any given time is a fraction of that amount.

Welcome, @floral6029

Apprehensiveness is nothing to be ashamed of. It's generally hard for most anyone connect. And add on to the strangeness of the internet. But this is a safe place. No need to worry.

Take as much time as you need. There is no pressure to post anything, or reply to anything.

I like the moderators here.

I tried Facebook. But, don’t like all the eyes on what I post or repost. Especially with the ever changing definition of offensive.

I got burnout fast.

I spend a lot of time lurking to try to get a feel for the forum before I post. It's usually ok when I post, though.

I guess I'm an extravert that comes out when I post, extraverted Aspie when in social situations. I keep to myself.

Well at least you don't have attention seeking syndrome to point that even rejection is better than being echnored.
I had that many times when I was younger, oh no, he's trying to pick me up. Why can't I just earn more money to be single and rich?
And then getting to point of who gives??

HI @floral6029

Lurking is ok in here. Participate by posting when you feel you have something to contribute, dont feel pressured to be active.

Welcome too
