Feeling like a failure

How do I stop feeling like a failure? I’ve failed a couple of exams recently. Been reject By multiple jobs and college in the past mostly due to ableist attitudes. I don’t know really just don’t like myself right now. Feeling like such a failure like I’m never going to get a job. Finding it hard to remember a persons worth isn’t measured by by employability, indepence etc.

Sign me up for that too. It seems l had to search for my groove in employment ventures.

Don't give up. Go right out and keep trying. Sometimes employment will define you more than school ever did. It's being adaptable and stepping in quick to carry the reins.

I once spent 18 months unemployed. I tried jobs I was qualified for, then jobs beneath me, finally I tried jobs just out of my reach. I got the job at last!

Don't give up. Don't assume you are not good enough. Go higher! Try for for jobs you think you aren't qualified for but want. It may be a better match for what you are capable of.

I was once homeless with a five year old child and picking vegetables in Winter to make money. I felt like a failure at that point until I realised I was only societal failure.

Personally I was a success surviving against the odds in very difficult circumstances.

Point is don't feel the pressure of societies expectations of success.

It maybe that you aren't on the right path yet, go easy on yourself and listen to your heart.

Hang in there. Often it can just be a numbers game. The more you interview the greater the chance of getting hired. If you think your interview skills may need improvement, try practicing with someone. Interviewing well is a skill, just like everything else.

Practice makes perfect, been on hundreds of interviews over my career, best way to be sucessful is fit your skills to what they are looking for. I went back to school a few times, "my motto is fail to plan plan to fail".

First acknowledge disappointment in self,
then give yourself a hug. Sounds like you need one.

How to stop feeling like a failure?
Don't generalise and lump all the negatives together to use as justification in berating yourself.

Sure, you're allowed to feel disappointed because things didn't work out the way you may have expected them to. That's natural.

It, in no way cancels out every other success you've enjoyed to date or even defines you as anything other than an awesome individual.

These are temporary disappointments.
Acknowledge them without judging yourself too harshly then come up with a fresh plan of attack :)

Sorry to hear that guess I got lucky mine is pretty awesome.
My sister often speaks about her time working in the job centre some amazing job coach’s and some shockingly bad ones. Including the “disability specialist” who referred to a person with Down syndrome is a mong. On the other side she speaks of the amazing ones who went above and beyond to help clients secure jobs.
