White cheeses, especially Brie and Baby Swiss.
Just about any pickled vegetable.
When I voted, I didn't understand about bread.
Didn't know it was considered fermented either.
I love most breads except for the commercial white sandwich types.
Fascinating! I had to look it up, I’d never heard of such a thing.One of these days, I hope to taste pickled walnuts which are a big tradition in England! I wonder what they taste like.
@Rodafina - Thanks for posting that! Very interesting. They are pickling green, immature, unripe walnuts before the inner woody shell gets hard. I'm going to see if I can find some to order online. It would be a unique addition to a cheese or charcuterie plate. Really cool.
I wonder if that is the same concept as the 100 years old eggs from Chinese cusine? I have never tried a pickled egg either.
