Figured I should say hello!

ADD, ENFP, ASD, and more!
It seems good practice to do the whole intro thing, so why not!

General Basics (“General Basics!”)

Location: Canada
Age: 20’s
Gender: Male
Profession: White Collar-type stuffs

Note: I realize that I should have re-ordered “Location, Age, and Gender” to be “Age, Sex, Location” to conform to internet norms, but noting the (literal) forum in which I am posting this brings me to keep it as an exercise of self-control

ASD Specifics

Diagnoses: Aspergers (From back in the good ‘ol DSM-IV days), Bipolar II, Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and likely a few other things.
What brings me here: Hoping to gain more understanding about my conditions, learn more about the experiences of other folks with similar life stories, and build a stronger support system for myself and become a stronger support system component for others in the process!
What I'm still afraid of: I am still pretty shy about actually revealing to folks within my life about my diagnosis. Perhaps in this place, I can share the journey with you and build up strength in the process.

Welcome :)

Don't worry, many of us are a little shy, and so there's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. We have a lovely community here, and members are willing to help each other to better understand themselves, so I'm sure you'll find many answers.

I recommend taking a look through our resources section too: Autism & Asperger's Resources | AspiesCentral.com

Point taken! But hey....here we expect Aspies to just be themselves. No conformity- or "norms" required. ;)

Welcome to AC.

Thank you all for the kind welcome! I get the feeling things are going to be nice around here. :sunglasses:

Welcome aboard :D

By the way, this painting is awesome! Where'd you find it? Quite apt and easy-to-relate-to 'round here :)

Edit: Noted the link underneath - so I'm guessing it's your creation. That's amazing! Thanks for sharing your creativity!

Hello and welcome,
There are many great people here and it is a good place to learn about ourselves.

I can relate to this. I only found out a week ago about my Aspergers and am worried how people would react if they knew.

There is bi polar around me, my family, I understand............... sighs.........

I have more than one diagnosis............ That might be another one, but I'm not so sure. I have multiple things going on.............. frustrating!!!!!! I don't like it when the doctors say "well, your mom has it, therefore you MUST have it too." I have an entire father's side of mental health (Or lack there of) to discuss with doctors too. sheesh. I even take after that side of his side of the family. thin, nervous, not so inclined to be curvaceous. His side of the family was never diagnosed. (they keep everything quiet , super discreet, in the really old fashioned polite days).

My mom was MS. Fun. life of the party, in high school.

THAT is NOT "ME"!
