Hi there. I am the mom of three HFA/Aspie boys. I just started back to school, and while I got a 4.0, I had the worst semester possible. I am on a waitlist to get diagnosed so that I can get accommodations. I live out in the country, and I have very few people that I talk to. One of the books I read said that online friendships might help, so I wound up here.
My goal is to have an Alpaca ranch and get my degree in Animal Science. My three boys are 16 and 9 (twins). I guess that I have passed for normal for so long, that going back into a large setting with lots of people freaked me out. I think there is nothing worse than having studied Autism to be a good parent, then get into a situation where you are hand flapping, and you don't realize it till they stare at you. Just one of those 'oh crap' moments that makes a light bulb go off.
