Film about Aspergers.

I plan to make a film about AS based on a film I wrote last year. I have Aspergers and have a lot of understanding of the condition. I wondered what sorts of topics would be most important in the film. I would like to cover as many aspects of AS as possible but it is difficult to remember all of the possible traits and aspects in one go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The film will be fictional, although it will be based on my experiences, as well as the experiences of others I have spoken to.
It will be feature length and probably around 80 minutes long.
It will be scripted and I will be using actors.

I want to make my film stand out my showing an inside view of Aspergers, covering a wider range of traits like sensory issues and understanding others. Although everyone is different, I would like to attempt to show the way that I think in hope that it will help people to better understand the condition. The main character will be around 18 with other characters of a similar age. I would like to show the ups and downs of Aspergers in work, home-life and social situations.

I am 18 and will be funding the film from my own pocket. I have a rough story in mind but I thought it would be important to begin by listing topics and traits so the story can be structured around it.

I will be showing my film at a local independent cinema with proceeds going to a local charity. This aspect of my film has already been arranged.

Good luck on the film.

Most Asperger's traits are well-covered, but something I think you should definitely cover in your film are stims as they aren't spoken of enough IMO. Very little data can be found about stims; they're still rather mysterious. Most stim-related info that you find through search-engines will land you on blogs and other pages by people who're on the spectrum.

I hope your film will dispel Asperger's myths.

Okay, I am part way through writing my film. I have written half of my script but it is already an hour long. This means that once the script is finished, I will write another draft removing parts that are perhaps not as relevant as others. The final film will take place over a typical week of the character. Between each day there are flashbacks and voice overs explaining the characters life so far. Sorry if parts are difficult to understand, this is the first part of my first draft. (V.O.) means voice-over for those who aren't too familiar with the format. Any feedback, anything at all, will be greatly appreciated and taken into account.
The vast majority of the story is based on real life. Some of the events in the story happened earlier today. The script can be read or downloaded here: http://pk-productions.dyndns.info/Aspire2.pdf
Thanks

NEW film about Asperger's/Autism.

I am making a full length film about a character with Asperger's Syndrome. A majority of the script is already written and I am looking for help and feedback. I have posted a video stating my intentions.
Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. The site is at http://www.aspie-zone.net
Thanks

Re: NEW film about Asperger's/Autism.

Why did you create a new thread about your film? You already created one.

I'm going to merge this thread with your other one.

Edit: I merged them. :D

To be perfectly honest, even after I posted my video there was very little interest in the thread because it had become "old news". My future depends on the success of this project so I created a new thread to try and get the much needed feedback. I see now that it was a bad thing to do. I apologise.

I was enjoying reading your film script. However, I didn't finish because I am busy. I hope after a couple of major school deadlines pass I can read it more carefully.

No big deal. I've been labeled as being a "spammer" and the like for being a little too, well, "promotion intense" so I'm quite lenient about you re-posting this. But if you choose to mention your film again, simply bump your thread - I don't think people here will mind too much and they'll definitely prefer it to you re-creating threads about the same topic.

There are a few areas that I would like to see covered. Special interests, talents and the causes of meltdowns.
