I’ve gotten into cooking/baking since the covid lockdown. Never was into it but into it big time now. Of course this is a bonus for our fam of two! Plan on baking a quiche today, first time. I’ve made Fratitta’s several times so now gonna ad the crust. I bake with weed a lot now that my better half is retired. We both have medical conditions where it helps, so not only is the food nutritional it’s also medicinal too.

The pain reduction is noticeable and sleep improved. Will check our YouTube subscriptions and get a name of who we are watching cannot remember off the top of my head.

I like watching bento box making videos on youtube. There are many channels mostly by japanese mothers and/or wifes making bentos for their husbands or children (though there are a few where they make them for when they go to work) they is only very soft music or no background noise at all (the best) and so you can hear all the noises of chopping and frying and boiling etc and you can just focus on the food. I find it very calming and the end result always looks so pretty.

I also love street food tour videos going though and showing local food. If I could travel alone (or tbh with people...I hate traveling) I would go on food tours but I can't so I watch videos.

Cafe vlogs and home cafe videos are also nice. No talking and pretty drinks.

Vending machine vlogs fall under a similar category.

I am subscribed to lots of channels so if you want I can give you names. I even follow two people who talk in their videos haha.

Havn't heard of cooking with weed before something be interested to know more about. Those gelatin art cake look amazing just watching video of them something relaxin about them not sure be so relaxed trying make them make look so easy .Do watch a lot bento of Japanese cooking videos to particutarly one called "cooking with dog" or "junskitchen" and sometimes "simplydumpling" .Not often I eat out never on my own often with someone traveling causing lot anxiety with the noise and crowds trying find somewhere hide away in the corner trying new things be interested to hear what channels subscribed to.

I really love trying different ethnic foods. I am not a foodie though - I think I go more for comfort foods and can't really appreciate food enough to be considered a foodie. I would really like to gain cooking skills! It's the kind of thing where I am naturally very bad at it, so I need a long block of relaxed time, everything already organized, and loads of practice - right now I don't have that situation going on. But one day, I think I will. I still predict that I will be too clumsy mentally and physically to prepare food finely enough or accurately enough to make great food, the difference is often in those details. But maybe I can find some forgiving recipes and just make stuff that at least my husband and I would like. As bad as I am at that role, I would feel satisfied in gaining some skills in it! I would feel better about myself, since it's a goal or a value that I seem to naturally have - I just need more time and effort than most to get into it, and life has never allowed me the opportunity.
